Jan 16, 2014, PS4 By Charly Pierre

Lets face it. The PS4 Dualshock 4 battery life drain out so fast. Unlike the Dualshock 3, where it can last for the whole day I believe. However, the PS4 Dualshock 4 controller has a light bar that is constantly on, this explains why the battery life never last long enough.

Yesterday an element on Reddit revealed how to nearly double your DualShock 4 controller’s battery life. First you need to replace the battery pack with an aftermarket DualShock 3 (DS3) battery pack.

The battery in the  DualShock 4  is a 3.65V 1000mAh battery and it can be replaced with aftermarket DS3 batteries. The user bought a  3.7V 1800 mAh battery, which cost him under $9 from Amazon, and he claims that the new battery life  for DS4 double the regular one, approximately 14 hours of gameplay versus 8.
