Here's the thing i'm sure you seen the demise of the Sega Dreamcast way ahead of its time. MS wanted to be the first? Here's how this works the cloud isn't all that stable and hasn't been around that long. Not EVERYONE has a smart tv secondly I believe these folks are using voice of opinion such as your self. I WAS going to get an xbox one but, I sat back and waited to see what E3 was going to be about and I'm glad i waited. Now that MS has also dropped the only needing ONE live account the consumer needs more than one IF another family member wants to play. The thing with technology is this people want to be the FIRST at something hey that's fine and dandy but there is this thing called TIMING...which didn't seem to work for them at this time. I have been reading just about every article I can about sony and ms funny thing is consumers THINK they are the reason why MS did the Micheal Jackson moon walk! Which it is and was about the ol american dollar. Now that sony was flooding the pre order gates they had to think fast and oh boy let me tell you they did...and shot their self in the foot again. For people to think that the publishers are losing out on used game purchases miss one small detail BEFORE you have a used game it WAS NEW first! Personally I never buy used for the fact I don't like scratches on my games at all. If people are so worried about used games then buy it NEW or in the case gamefly or redbox or a rental place. Oh wait after you have tried the game the first thing people do is look for a used copy before a new copy and those are the same people who complain about GS eye gouging us ALL. People want to help the gaming industry buy new and pre order like crazy. Now will MS bounce back? oh damn right they will and can with a few EXTRA things like having a second SKU that way they can keep things the way they are. Oh and people still wont be happy then.

Angel Montalvo Now I cannot have said it better myself. People completely bash Microsoft for trying to be the first to implement something that in the end EVERY system and EVERY other device is going towards. Look at your TV. Our TVs are going from plain old things to devices that connect to the internet and surf the web and pretty much anything else. They only tried to be the first to get there, to implement these ideas, and as you have said, to save the innovation. You know what though? The people doing all the hating, they are the ones that also use steam. Steam, the company that also requires you to connect to the internet to play games. If gamers were truly getting smarter as this ludicrous post states than they would realize that this is innovation at it's finest and understand that it is going to be the way of everything with in a few years and they would run with it. I personally am going to watch as everyone realizes this and flocks to the better stuff.
