This is entirely based on rumours, all you people getting butthurt about the specs or release date need to chill out. Even if they do (stupidly) release the PS4 this year, the ps3 won’t die for ages, and by making games that are playable on both consoles, like they did with PS3/PS4, you’ll still get to enjoy the PS3, and they’ll have to push it’s capabilities. Just be fuckin’ patient!

Ps4 is just a waste bunch of people have ps3 games and if the ps4 cant play ps3 games then why get it and what if it wont let u play play with friends from ps3? I so t if dont know if the rumor is true that the ps4 wont be able to play ised used games or barrowed games from friends

Lets all remember that these are just rumors. And for those saying the specs are better on the new xbox you obviously aren’t looking up all of the hardware. The only thing those xbox stats have over the ps3 is the memory and even that the xbox is sporting ddr3 while the ps4 says gddr5 which is much more effecient so if the ps4 does the 4gb of that it would almost be the same. And let us not forget that the ps3 blows the xbox out of the water even though it only sports 256 mb RAM while the xbox has 2gb if I remember correctly. And since the release date truly hasn’t been announced I would say they probably will release shortly before christmas 2014 which, if history stands true, means that everyone that wants that extra year can take it to wait for them to get the bugs out before before buying because we all remember that there were no great games, and tons of flaws with the first gen of all the previous next gen consoles and I guarantee that ps3 games will continue to have new releases in that first year just off of companies that are in production now not being able to release before that time.

I guess because of the fact PS3 would be much cheaper, but there r still hell lot of fantastic games, that could be played. I bought my console about 1,5 year ago and I finished about 10% of games I wish to, so I still have a lot of stuff to spend my money for.
