The PS4 and Xbox One will be coming out this holiday, and Battlefield 4 is so far the most pre-ordered game for both consoles. It seems that the EA series is becoming more popular, even reigning over its nemesis Call of Duty: Ghosts.

VGChartz has been keeping track of all pre-orders, showing that Battlefield 4 is more popular than Killzone: Shadow Fall and Xbox One Exclusive Forza Motorsport 5.There is high expectations for Battlefield 4, and E3 has risen the bar, where the pre-orders soared at Amazon and GameStop. Amazon decided to make a PS4 Battlefield 4 bundle since the sales have been doing so good.

The pre-orders have been available for a while now and Battlefield 4 will be ready to play this year on October 29th. A Battlefield 4 beta will be accessible in a special Deluxe version, which is also going to be available for all Premium members on Battlefield 3. Competition is going to be intense between EA and Activision, Battlefield 4 might have an advantage because their game releases a week earlier than Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Tell us in the comments below which game you are planning to pre-order BF4 or COD: Ghosts.

EA senior director of corporate communications John Reseburg has confirmed today none of EA titles will include online pass program. EA is not the only company to use online passes – Other major company seem to follow the same strategies, such as Activision and Ubisoft. Without online pass, you can’t access online elements such as multiplayer. I’m sure gamers around the world would be very happy about that, especially FIFA 13, Battlefield 3 and Madden NFL fans.

“Yes, we’re discontinuing Online Pass. None of our new EA titles will include that feature. Initially launched as an effort to package a full menu of online content and services, many players didn’t respond to the format. We’ve listened to the feedback and decided to do away with it moving forward. We’re still committed to creating content and services that enhance the game experience well beyond the day you first start playing.”

As I began watching the Battlefield 4 trailer the first thing that immediately hooked me was the scene when the group of soldiers were sinking underwater in a car, one of the men was stuck under a seat. It was an intense moment, because at any moment they could die if they do not get out of the drowning vehicle. When the man pointed his gun to shoot the window, the screen blacked out and rewinded 13 minutes into the past, showing every event that led up to that specific situation.

Since I am a person that plays Call of Duty multiplayer more than Battlefield 3’s multiplayer, I was pretty curious as to what Battlefield was bringing to the table. It is not that I don’t like Battlefield, there are a lot of times when I absolutely can’t stand to play Call of Duty and I’ll switch over to Battlefield and it is just a breath of fresh air.

I cannot just pick one side, but I can tell why people can have a feud over which game is better. One thing for sure about Battlefield that stands out is the huge maps, and I mean huge. Battlefield’s smallest maps feel bigger than any of Call of Duty’s biggest maps. Most people rely on auto aim, the guns on BF do have shakiness to them, and it feels real. This is why most people hate to play it, because it takes time to master and some players can’t shoot accurately. The most annoying/satisfying kills on Call of Duty are kill streaks, which Battlefield does not have. But Battlefield does have vehicles, which Call of Duty hasn’t had since World at War, when they had tanks for certain maps.

I have to admit the 17 minute campaign mode video kept me glued, the graphics was amazing, and I really felt as if I was the one in that story. However, with Activision’s showing off their next-gen engine over at GDC, it’s a given that this year’s CoD title would mark the use of a new engine for the series, and one can except a sea change in the game’s visuals, which were extremely dated till now.

But, if the developers can build the gameplay to an extent to match the new found graphic prowess remains to be seen. 2013 will have another big battle between two of the biggest publishers pitting their biggest shooters against one another. The winner will however be the gamer, who’ll get to experience such diverse and amazing shooter experiences.

I am definitely going to try out this game and we will see if Battlefield can prevail over Call of Duty’s upcoming game.

Now the real question is: which one do you think is better and why?

The next Battlefield game is already on its way soon, DICE and EA have confirmed that a while ago to the surprise for the current Battlefield Fans. Since the BETA access for the users has already confirmed for those who owns Medal Of Honor: WarFighter and now, it seems EA will soon announce about their next Battlefield game.

There are also multiple rumors regarding Battlefield for future consoles, which aren’t officially announced yet.

At the moment, DICE focus is still very much on the final expansion pack ‘End Game’ DLC’ expansion for Battlefield 3, which will be available in March on all platforms. Once the ‘End Game” DLC is released, right after that EA will immediately switch their attention to Battlefield 4, as EA Games label chief Frank Gibeau has revealed that Battlefield 4 is definitely confirmed for a 2014 release date.

Further, he’s also revealed that further Battlefield 4 information will be announced within 90 days, which means that we’ll hear more on the development of the game around the April or May period. It’s no secret that the Sony PS4 and Xbox 720 consoles are supposedly due out at the end of the year, so it’s safe to say that we’ll all be enjoying Battlefield 4 on a brand new console (or PC) when it arrives next year.

It is confirmed that, after the bad sales and unanimously poor reviews for ‘Medal of Honor: Warfighter’

EA has confirmed to take the Medal of Honor series out of rotation altogether. EA COO Peter Moore had this to say:

“The game was solid, but the focus on combat authenticity did not resonate with consumers. Critics were polarized and gave the game scores which were, frankly, lower than it deserved. This one is behind us now. We are taking Medal of Honor out of the rotation and have a plan to bring year-over-year continuity to our shooter offerings.”

I believe Medal of Honor: Manshooter just wasn’t meant to be.

Since the “Medal Of Honor” [series] is done, EA has only the ‘Battlefield’ series to turn to for the yearly iterations it demands. There were also rumors saying “Battlefield: Bad Company 3″ or also called as the ‘ New Bad Company‘ is under development ,but it seems there is nothing officially announced about it yet,and it seems that COD has the two series called ‘Modern Warfare/Black Ops’ , relationally Battlefiled continues with ‘Bad Company/ BF’ Series.

Battlefield 4 is believed to be releasing sometime in mid to late 2013.
