Mass Effect’s art and design producer Fabrice Condominas said:

“There is one thing we are absolutely sure of – there will be no more Shepard, and the trilogy is over. This is really our starting point. Now the Mass Effect universe is vast, and very, very rich. So at this point in time, we don’t even know what kind of time frame we’re going to be in. All we’re doing is more gathering ideas from the teams.”

“So first, we don’t want to make ‘Shepard 2′, or Mass Effect 4 with like, ‘oh there’s no more Shepard but you’re a soldier in the universe’. So this will be a very, very different context for sure, and nothing has been decided on the rest.”

How do you feel about BioWare’s decision?

A new trailer has been released by Bioware for the upcoming Mass Effect Trilogy which releases tomorrow.

The trailer released coalesces moments from all three games in the series, focusing primarily on the third game. Although the game releases tomorrow, it releases only for Xbox 360. The PS3 installment will be available after an agonizing wait for one more month.

Bioware has released some screenshots for their upcoming Mass Effect 3 DLC pack. They have not yet announced the release date for the game but expect it to be announced soon. Take a look at the screenshots below.

Ray Muzyka, the co-founder of Bioware has confirmed that the team’s working on new “titles” in the Mass Effect universe and are preparing upcoming content for Mass Effect 3 which’ll provide more “clarity” to Mass Effect 3.

Muzyka made this announcement via an open letter to fans.

BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka has confirmed in an open letter that new “titles” in the Mass Effect universe are already been worked on, and that upcoming content will provide “clarity” to Mass Effect 3.

He added that news on the new content will arrive next month.

“Building on their research, Exec Producer Casey Hudson and the team are hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey,” he said.

“We’re working hard to maintain the right balance between the artistic integrity of the original story while addressing the fan feedback we’ve received.”

He also confirmed new DLC for the game as well as more titles based on the Mass Effect world were in the pipeline.

“This is in addition to our existing plan to continue providing new Mass Effect content and new full games, so rest assured that your journey in the Mass Effect universe can, and will, continue.”

He however, warned although the team is open to receiving contructive critisism, destructive critisism won’t be responded to.

“The reaction to the release of Mass Effect 3 has been unprecedented. On one hand, some of our loyal fans are passionately expressing their displeasure about how their game concluded; we care about this feedback, and we’re planning to directly address it,” said Muzyka.

“However, most folks appear to agree that the game as a whole is exceptional, with more than 75 critics giving it a perfect review score and a review average in the mid-90s. Net, I’m proud of the team, but we can and must always strive to do better.”

He continued: “Some of the criticism that has been delivered in the heat of passion by our most ardent fans, even if founded on valid principles, such as seeking more clarity to questions or looking for more closure, for example – has unfortunately become destructive rather than constructive.

“We listen and will respond to constructive criticism, but much as we will not tolerate individual attacks on our team members, we will not support or respond to destructive commentary.”

Mass Effect 3 released earlier this month and although it’s received great critical acclaim, the series fans are upset with the game’s ending going as far as filing as FTC against Bioware for sloppy work.
