They released a trailer revealing numerous launch line up of games that will come for the PS4 in Japan. Check out the video down below,and gets a glimpse of the future.

Sony’s page has mentioned that their fans can expect to see more news on the “release plans” of the PS4.

They will also continue to promote games for their current PS3 console and PS Vita handheld at the event.

You can see the biggest gaming event take place on Tuesday at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT in Cologne, Germany.

A representative of the company once mentioned that they were given information on the PS4 release date by the “direct” suppliers themselves.

Apparently the release date that was deemed “accurate” was set on December 13th, but now they are claiming the information to be some kind of mix-up.

A representative of Sony said, “The release date is not provided by Sony, but is an estimated date required by our system to allow us to take pre-orders,”

It has already been announced that the PS4 will launch in North America and Europe this year, but the company has not spared much details. Many are expecting the launch date to be announced at this month’s Gamescom, where we already know Sony is planning to reveal a ton of new games there.

Today Ubisoft announced their entire lineup of titles and events that will be available at the Gamescom event. Attendees will be able to get a hands on experience for some of the popular upcoming titles such as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, The Crew, and Watchdogs.

Featured here today are 6 games on the PS4 that will be free-to-play with monetary transactions confined to the bare minimum. These also won’t require you to make an PS Plus subscription in order to play online. Lets have a look.

Expected some time in 2014 on the PS4, Warframe is a fast paced co-op shooter with 11 interesting missions thrown in- ranging from horde style modes to assassinations. The game is a third person shooter with players getting amazing superpowers.

Graphics wise, the game manages to hold its own and all the features are also included free of cost except that you have to buy stuff you need to accessorize via various micro-transactions.

Definitely a game to try out on the PS4.

Planetside 2 is a massive multiplayer that feature battles that are epic in size, sometimes comprising of thousands of players that battle on foot, on land and in air. Expected in late 2013/early 2014, the game has a bevy of player customization options and weapons tweaks that compel you to invest on your characters.

A game to look out for.

This is one for fans of comic books. Coming on the PS4 in 2014 DC Universe Online is a free-to-play MMORPG wherein players can assume the role of either a hero or a villain. You are free to explore Gotham and Metropolis, completing various tasks in the process as an avatar you can customize into any symbol you want. The major chunk of the game is free with investment needed if you want to access more higher level stuff.

The game received a highly positive response on the PS3. Rest assured, a PS4 version will be at par, if not better.

War Thunder is a combat flight simulator that is coming to the PS4 in late 2014 as a massive free-to-play multiplayer game. The game possesses a long list of planes and battlefields. Instead of choosing a particular plane, players can choose entire countries to represent, and in the process gradually accumulate planes for that particular country.

This is one for the fans of sim games. Seems to be worth a try.

Expected around late 2013/early 2014 on the PS4, Blacklight Retribution is a free-to-play multiplayer first person shooter. Having a science fiction setting, the game has all the standard features of a multiplayer but with some unique interesting touches; there is a HRV- High Reality Visor that gives players momentary abilities like seeing weaknesses in walls and spotting mines. The game also contains a deep customization mode for weapons.

Overall the game looks good and interesting. One free-to-play to try out on the PS4.

Don’t Starve is on the list of free PS Plus offerings on the PS4. Developed by Klei Entertainment, the game is all about survival in an alien world. Players are awarded points judging by the time frame they survive. To ensure a better chance of survival players are needed to gather resources, build fires and so on while defending themselves against starvation, insanity and even their own insanity.

With primary focus on engaging and competitive gameplay the game promises to be an interesting one.

During the Q&A session, Marketing Director of EA David Silverman announced a lot of details for the upcoming game.

Single-player:
• Admitted that the BF3 story could have been more.
• Campaign will be more character driven and emotional. Confidence in their skills in building multiplayer led them to spend more time into creating a good singleplayer story.
• NPCs will be more human. Right down to the smallest and simplest details of just watching you walk around etc.
• Cutscenes are acted out in a soundstage like in movies

Specs:
• Oculus Rift support is not planned, but is possible in the future
• PC specs are similar to the specs of BF3. No official specs list has been released.

Multiplayer:
• Battlelog returns on PC and will integrated into the console games
• Commander Mode runs in-game and tablet, however the in-game versions will have extra features such as live video feeds etc.
• Maps can’t be totally leveled, however, destruction is going to be more dramatic than BF3′s and will be similar to BC2′s destruction.
• They are considering bringing back the ability to destroy MCOMs by having structures and buildings fall on them, like BC2
• You can cut the power in the indoor parts of the maps and use the darkness and non functional elevators to your advantage
• Seize of Shanghai, the map shown at the E3 Demo, is a medium size map and new game modes will be shown soon.
• The spokesman said that “You won’t be disappointed by the number of maps in the game”
• He also stated that Operation Metro is the most popular map in BF3, thus indirectly confirming that it’ll return in the Second Assault DLC.

Naughty Dog hit it out of the ballpark with ‘The Last of Us’ released just last month. We have every reason to believe that they have also been working on their next title in the Uncharted series, considering that they have different teams for different projects. We hope to see the beloved Nathan Drake come back with even more action and maybe even something different in the continuing series.

2. Resident Evil 7

We don’t expect this game that consists of the undead to die out just yet. Capcom may try more risky ideas to pump up the long running franchise.The next Resident Evil may be unnumbered, and probably a spin off, when you take the Resident Evil 6 Story into consideration.

3. Grand Theft Auto 5

The game has already been confirmed for the PS3 and Xbox 360, but has no mention of the next-gen consoles. Rockstar has recently said that they’ve been hiring developers “to help bring our latest titles to the PC platform.”  Many have suggested that they are talking about the PS4, which has been described as a PC Platform. Others think that the company is just setting up to release Red Dead or GTA 5 for the PC. We can definitely see GTA 5 being announced for the next-gen console very soon.

4. Gran Turismo 6

CEO of Polyphony Digital Kazunori Yamauchi has lately stated, “We have a PS4 version [of Gran Turimso 6] in mind.“  Which obviously means that the next Gran Turismo is definitely being considered for the PS4. We can imagine that they will boost the recently announced Gran Turismo 6 PS3 game to next-gen standards.

5. Sleeping Dogs 2

The success of the United Front games Sleeping Dogs, assures they will continue on to have a series. The company has posted a job availability back in January for a ‘network/multiplayer programmer for a next gen console title’ and even for a Senior Project Manager. Expect to see news of Sleeping Dogs 2 in 2014.

6. Fallout 4

It has already been confirmed that there will be an Elder Scrolls Online, which made us cross out Elder Scrolls 6 as a candidate for Bethesda’s upcoming game. The company has announced that they are working on a “pre-production on our next major project”. in February 2012, Besthesda started hiring for “next generation console programmer”. The setting of the upcoming game has rumored from Reddit to be in Boston, MA. They have just started developing the new game so we expect it to be released late 2014, maybe even 2015.

7. Hitman

The Director of Hitman: Absolution has said in a statement last year that Square Enix Montreal is currently developing the “new project“. IO Interactive announced just last month, that they had to lay-off half of their employees and cancel projects, but also that they will continue to work on the Hitman series. Expect to see the title because they seem very determined to make the game even better than before.

8. Deus Ex 4 / Human Revolution 2

Ion Storm announced the cyberpunk themed action role-playing game a couple of years ago through a trailer that leaked early. Turns out the game was held back and is now being redesigned for the PS4.

9. Doom 4

The game has trouble during development for the past five years but it seems that it will be available to the next-gen consoles very soon. Bethesda has confirmed that a ‘new version’ is currently being developed. Their previous Doom 3 did very well in 2004, but games preferences do change so hopefully id Software will greatly consider the next generation of gaming when creating their new title.

10. Home

PlayStation Home is the virtual world that is included free to download with every one of our PS3 console. It has a lot of cool content that many people don’t know about such as hundreds of games, customizable characters, and users can even unlock exclusive contents for a their games. Millions have locked into the world, so it is obvious that Sony has to continue its legacy. We’re just trying to figure out if they’re going to transfer the same PS3 community on to the PS4, or will they make an entirely new world for the next-gen.

11. Tomb Raider 2

Lara Croft comes back new and improved with better graphics and even more action. We hope to see a little more back story, better selection of guns, and even more craftier challenges in the next Tomb Raider release.

12. Silent Hill

When you hear about scary video games, you know it’s gotta be Silent Hill. Last year Hideo Kojima disclosed that he was asked to make a Silent Hill game during Eurogamer Expo. He says, ”I think Silent Hill has a certain atmosphere. I think it has to continue, and I’d love to help it continue, and if I can help by supervising or lending the technology of the Fox Engine, then I’d love to participate in that respect.” If Kojima believes that it should continue then it should be available for the next-gen consoles hopefully soon.

13. Little Big Planet 3

It has not been confirmed to whose going to continue the popular series but rumors have been gravitating towards Sumo Digital CV who has recently made a PS3/Vita cross-play patch. Media Molecule was seen with no LBP demos at the PS4 reveal, but they will kept as an option. We can predict that the upcoming Little Big Planet title to complement the new features on the PS4 controller as well as the camera.

14. Batman

It has already been confirmed that the Batman: Arkham Origins is coming out soon but it seems that the Warners Bros has already started developing for the next in the series. Kevin Conroy, the voice actor of Batman made a statement at this years Dallas Comic Con saying, “Confusion in Dallas. I am in new Arkham game coming soon, not Arkham Origins coming this fall.” That statement should be enough to tell us that they have big plans for Batman.
