On a good note, Santa Monica Studio and Ready At Dawn are working on a new PS4 exclusive called The Order: 1886.

Set in the Victorian era of London, The Order: 1886 takes place in an alternate history where technological advances take center stage in a battle against a powerful and ancient foe.

The game takes place nearly forty years after the Industrial Revolution, but unlike the actual one, the one in the game stems from mankind’s “desire to prevail in a centuries-old war.”

In the game, you are a knight in an ancient order, and while it takes place in an alternate history, players will interact with real-world historical characters who will aid them in their quest.

The gameplay will also be seamless, as there won’t be “any visual discrepancies or breaks in continuity between gameplay and cinematic.”

More on the game will be revealed in the future, so for now, enjoy the announcement video.

A healthy Q&A have been posted which reveals a number of details including the confirmation that regeneration of health and focus will be dependent on consumables. Here is a list of bullet points of the details revealed.

• You will be able to toggle pieces of the HUD
• Dog will be present in the game.
• Lockpicking will change depending on whether or not you use focus. Garret will be able to steal anywhere in the gameworld.
• The game will support both a mini-map and a full map.
• You can finish a complete playthrough using only stealth. Guards line-of-sight will depend on where they’re facing, meaning if two guards are standing face-to-face to each other than their vision will be blocked behind the other.
• Focus will play a key role in the game. For example using it while lockpicking will enable Garret to see the inside as opposed to just seeing outside.
• Garret can use a climbing tool called the ‘claw’ to reach higher places which are otherwise inaccessible, and also save himself while falling down.

Zombie Studios and Atlus have confirmed that Daylight is coming to the PS4 in 2014.

Some details on the game have been leaked from a playtester who has released his impressions of the game. These impressions are as follows:

• The Crew is expected to play similar to Ubisoft Reflections most recent racer Driver: San Francisco, with a semi-arcade style of racing.
• As with Driver: San Francisco, The Crew will be open world with the ability to travel between New York City and Los Angeles, though the scale of these cities has been reduced.
• It is not clear whether you will travel through wilderness to reach each city or whether the game will simply load in each area.
• The Crew will also feature a similar ‘Google Maps’ style mechanic, presumably for navigating the open world.
• A ‘Freeride’ mode will be available too, which the option to choose between missions or challenges.
• Multiplayer will feature 8 players in either competitive or co-operative gameplay, though no more specific details were provided.
• As is the case with Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs – and presumably many of the publisher’s next-gen games – The Crew will come with a companion app for mobile devices.
• It is presumed that The Crew’s release date will be before the end of 2013, presumably to tie into a next-gen release. With such a close release date, it’s safe to assume The Crew will be announced at E3 2013.

According to the source of these details, The Crew was played on the Xbox 360 version of the game.

A recent tweet from the GamesLab Ubisoft Twitter account confirms that a playtest for a game did occur between May 29th and May 31st. Ubisoft was also explicitly looking for both arcade and simulation racing game fans to take part.

The title’s story brings us to a devastated Earth in the near future (PT Era 102013). Humanity survived by withdrawing to a megalopolis named Panopticon. However, due to the depletion of natural resources the government is extremely strict and sentences a large number of people to imprisonment in order to have an easier time managing them.

Those imprisoned are called “criminals” and have been condemned to forced labor. They have to take part in a war strangely named “volunteer work”. In order to earn their freedom, the criminals have to fight every day in a continuous conflict to rescue the “citizens” and to compete for resources.

AC4 was meant for the PS4, but they are releasing it for the PS3. A team of programmers have been working on the next-gen element of the game. The game has been in development for 2 years.
