Every PS4 owner will get a free 14-day trial pack of PlayStation Plus and will also get free access to the game Driveclub and new shooter Resogun.

Ubisoft’s much anticipated Assassin’s Creed 3 will soon be made free on PS Plus. Also, on the menu is a free addition of 90 days to your PS Plus subscription plan if you sign-up starting tomorrow.

Read the Twitter Q&A below.

@strickers66 asks, “one thing that concerns me about PS4. Current PSN store’s really bad. It runs slowly, is buggy and just doesn’t work well. PS4 better?

He responds, “Absolutely.”

@russellpsv asks, “will downloadable ps4 games from ps plus / psn be playable on ps vita remote play or just disk games.”

He responds, “both digital and disk games will work on Remote Play”

@RealMilos asks, “hey shuhei, when my account transfers to the PS4, does the money in my psn wallet transfer there too?”

He responds, “when you use the same PSN account, your wallet is available for both”

@Raoul24 asks, “Can people still play Drive Club PSN+ edition when there subscription is expired (if automatic renewal is not enabled)?”

He responds, “no, sorry.”

To sum it all up the PS4 store will be better than the PS3 store, any game whether it be disc or digital will work on the PS Vita Remote Play. Money from the PS3 account will transfer/be available to the PS4 so the psn wallet will be the same for the account regardless of the console. When PS Plus membership expires, the games that came with it also come to an end.

Tell us what you think about all this new information, in the comments below.

Battlefield 3 will be free to download for PS Plus members beginning with the 7/2 PS Store update. In addition, there will be access to plenty of goodies as a part of the Instant Games Collection.

Do you have a PlayStation Plus membership? If not, do you plan on subscribing? Do let us know.

Warframe

Warframe is a cooperative third-person shooter video game, developed by Digital Extremes. Players control a member of the Tenno, ancient warriors who have awoken from centuries of cryosleep to find themselves in a war with the Grineer, a race of militarized humans, and the Corpus. The Tenno use advanced armor with unique properties, called Warframes in the war against the Grineer and Corpus.

In Warframe, up to 4 players work together to complete missions such as eliminating enemies or retrieving data from terminals. Players can carry a primary weapon (such as a rifle or shotgun), a secondary weapon (usually a pistol), and a melee weapon. Players are given XP (experience points) for killing enemies and completing missions, which allows them to level up their weapons and armor. Each Warframe has 4 different abilities that can be unlocked through the progression system. When equipment is leveled up, it will unlock mod slots, which can improve or add various stats of weapons and armor, as well as general stat bonuses.

Blacklight: Retribution

Blacklight: Retribution is a first-person shooter video game by Zombie Inc. Retribution is the sequel to Blacklight: Tango Down.

Blacklight: Retribution takes place in a science fiction setting and possesses a number of game types and maps. The game currently appears to have no single player other than training and practice mode, pitting players against AI or “bot” enemies. The game types are Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Domination (a ticket type of game), King of the Hill (objective capture), and Kill Confirmed (similar to Team Deathmatch except players collect tokens from their dead opponents and teammates for extra Combat Points). Siege Mode, where one team advances a Scorpion Tank through checkpoints into enemy territory, was added in August 2012. In March 2013, the Onslaught mode was added, in which players collect tokens to gain XP and GP.

Planetside 2

Across the continents of Auraxis, thousands of players will come together in enormous battles to win control of territory and resources for their empire in PlanetSide 2. This sequel takes all the groundbreaking features from the original massive multiplayer battles, distinctive empires to rally around, and enormous continents to support intense ground and air combat and adds features that modern gamers have come to expect out of the FPS and MMO genres.

DC Universe Online

The first project out of Sony Online’s Austin studio, this action-based MMO explores the various worlds of DC Comics’ superheroes and villains. Key collaborators include comic veterans Jim Lee (who serves as the game’s Executive Creative Director), Ale Garza, Carlos D’Anda, and Scott Iwahashi, in addition to EverQuest developers, Chris Cao and Shawn Lord.

A massively-multiplayer experience, DC Universe Online brings high-energy action to the forefront with a combat system designed to deliver a fast-paced action experience with the extraordinary powers of your personally created heroes and villains at your disposal. Battle with or against their favorite DC Super Heroes and Villains including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Joker. For the very first time, players and fans will be able to enter this fabled world as an active force for good or evil.

War Thunder

Bringing the hit military MMO franchise to consoles for the first time, War Thunder provides players with unparalleled first person gameplay entertainment experiences that allows them to enter into action filled, highly explosive World War II battles from the air, mobilized on the ground or out at sea.

Developer Gaijin Entertainment has optimize the potent power of PlayStation 4 to redefine War Thunder’s rich gameplay with powerful graphics and speed, intelligent personalization, deeply integrated social capabilities, and innovative cloud options. War Thunder feature stunning lifelike dynamics of real-time flight and precision in its details of planes, tanks and war ships, and intuitive controls thanks to the DualShock 4. The power of PS4 allows improved an head-tracking system, easier socializing tools, smart and easy options to record/stream/share homemade gameplay videos, and full support of PlayStation Cloud. “We’re convinced that our cooperation with Sony will not only make the War Thunder franchise better, but it will give our fans a new level of gaming experience that will figuratively blow their mind,” said Gaijin Entertainment’s Creative Director Kirill Yudintsev. “Partnering with Sony Computer Entertainment is the most natural progression for the War Thunder brand, from our hugely successful beginnings on PC with more than 1.5 million players, to our recent announcement that War Thunder is under development for mobile devices. We are excited to bring War Thunder to the leading next-generation platform, the PS4.”

Outlast

In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum. A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, recently re-opened by the “research and charity” branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation, has been operating in strict secrecy… until now.

Acting on a tip from an inside source, independent journalist Miles Upshur breaks into the facility, and what he discovers walks a terrifying line being science and religion, nature and something else entirely. Once inside, his only hope of escape lies with the terrible truth at the heart of Mount Massive.

DriveClub

Driveclub is a next-generation driving game from Evolution Studios featuring team-based racing.

Don’t Starve

Don’t Starve is an uncompromising wilderness survival game full of science and magic. You play as Wilson, an intrepid Gentleman Scientist who has been trapped by a demon and transported to a mysterious wilderness world. Wilson must learn to exploit his environment and its inhabitants if he ever hopes to escape and find his way back home.

Secret Ponchos

Secret Ponchos is the first offering from Switchblade Monkeys. It is an online Western top-down shooter that will make it’s debut on the PS4.

Which out of these are you looking forward to playing the most?

Within the instant collection, there are cult classics like Arc the Lad, Shin Megami Tensei, Tokyo Majin Gakuen: Ken Kaze Tobari, Lunatic Dawn Odyssey, Spectral Force, Spectral Tower II, Langrisser, Thunder Force V, Shadow Tower, Brigandine, Gun Parade March, Assault Suits Valken 2, and many more. You can see the full list here and here.

There are plenty of guides online to help you through the language barrier for most titles.

The best part of this all, is that you can play all those games for free for 15 days, thanks to a PS Plus free trial membership currently offered by Sony Japan. If you don’t know any Japanese the process may be slightly tricky, but DualShockers has given some help.

You need to create a Japanese PSN (Sony Entertainment Network) account first. The Japanese PSN often gives access to a lot of interesting stuff. There are many good guides online to do so. Kotaku has a very good one here.

Once you have your new Japanese PSN account, you can move on to grabbing the PS Plus promotion. First of all go here, and follow the instructions in the pictures below.

Congratulations! Now you’re a member of the Japanese PS Plus for fifteen days. Remember, as long as you are a member, you can re-download every single game you ever downloaded, even if you deleted it from your hard disk.

Now, you can find the games you want and download them.

That’s it. As long as the games are on your hard disk (and your membership is active) you can play them even when you’re logged on your North American or European accounts.

Not buying PlayStation Plus will not disable the console, if the user wishes to play games that are offline; it will work along with all the media services on the console.

Any current PlayStation Plus membership will be transferable to the PS4 and users can have the membership on all their devices PS3, PS4, and PS Vita.

PlayStation Plus members on the PS4 will immediately get the Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition game during the first year. Sony has also confirmed that the members will be getting a free game every month, and a couple of those upcoming titles are Don’t Starve, Outlast, and Secret Ponchos.

Even though many players dread paying to play online, PlayStation Plus actually has some great benefits involved. During the E3 conference it is shown that PlayStation Plus has, “discounted games, cloud saves, automatic game updates, early access to beta programs, instant game collection, and immersive multiplayer online on PS4.” All for less than $5/month.

The current price for PlayStation Plus membership on the PlayStation Store and PlayStation.com is $17.99 for 3 months, or $49.99 for a year. We are not sure if the prices are subject to change when the PS4 comes around.

Do you think Sony charging for online play a good business move?
