Resident Evil 6 Siege mode set to release next week

Capcom will finally release Resident Evil 6 Siege mode . The PlayStation 3 user will be able to get their hands on it March 6th. The pack will cost $3.99.

Apparently, the pack will include 7 new modes featuring Rail Yard, High Seas Fortress, Catacombs, Requiem for War, Liquid Fire, Rooftop Mission and Creature Workshop. Users will be able to purchase these modes for only $4.99 / €9.99.

Modes featuring Siege, Survivors, Predator and Onslaught modes will be available on March 19th for North America and March 20th for Europe. This bundle will arrive for PS3 users.

Resident Evil 6 sells 4.8 million, capcom aiming for 7 million

A report today mentioned Capcom planned to sell over 7 million copies of Resident Evil 6. The game is now reached 4.8 millions world wide which is not that bad as it look.

“In the Digital Contents business, which constitutes our core competence, the flagship title Resident Evil 6 (for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360), despite recording brisk sales when it debuted, subsequently lost its momentum, resulting in the failure to achieve planned sales and fulfil its role as a driver of sales expansion.” – Capcom Statement

Last week, Capcom informed there might be a possibility reboot for Resident Evil series.

Resident Evil 6 reviews were major disappointed . Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil 6 has been selling very well in overseas territories and Japan. Capcom quote RE6, “been successful to some degree.”

“‘Resident Evil 6′ continues to generate repeat sales in Japan and overseas. Furthermore, initial shipments set a new record for a Capcom title. So this game has been successful to some degree.
We therefore believe it is too early to reach a conclusion about how users view this game. We
always listen carefully to the feedback from users and use this information when developing games.”

Resident Evil 6 PS3 Japanese box art revealed

Capcom has revealed Resident Evil 6 the official Japanese box art for the PS3. Unlike the North America cover, the Japanese cover features the main characters in the story, including the playable character, Ada Wong, Chris Redfield, Jake Muller and Leon Kennedy.
