Square Enix announces Next-gen sequel for Tomb Raider

Square Enix has just confirmed through a statement, that they have been working on a sequel to the Tomb Raider game.

The announcement was expected but was surprising, considering that the company has recently been having financial problems and is restructuring on those issues.

The new Western boss of Square Enix Phil Rogers was the one to announce the company situation through an open letter.

Rogers states, “I am also excited to reveal that we are well into development on a next-generation Tomb Raider sequel – something you may have heard about recently!”

Tomb Raider was released not so long ago, so we don’t expect the sequel to launch anytime soon. Even though they did not mention what platform it will be available on, we are positive that the sequel will be made for the next-gen consoles.

Tomb Raider PS3 controller Revealed

A special Tomb Raider PlayStation 3 controller was revealed by Bigben Interactive. The controller will distribute to Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. No words were giving for North America. The wireless controller is embed with Tomb Raider’s logo. It also has the standard of 6-axis original controller.

The controller will release March 5th . No price were giving.

Tomb Raider Release Date Announced:E3 2012

Crystal Dynamics has revealed the release date for the Tomb Raider reboot. The studio confirmed Tomb Raider reboot will arrive for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC March 5, 2013. The title was originally supposed to release this fall.

Darrell Gallagher said “Our priority now is to make sure we fully deliver the very highest quality game. In order to do this, we have decided to move the game’s release date by a few months, from Fall 2012 to the first quarter of 2013.”
