Call of Duty: Ghosts- “Significant upgrades”, not a new engine
Speculation about a new engine followed after Call of Duty: Ghosts was shown at the Xbox One reveal on Tuesday. However, an announcement made by Infinity Ward’s animation lead Zach Volker has confirmed that the engine used in the game is not a new one but is one with “significant upgrades”.
Speaking of the Ghosts engine Volker said, “When we’re talking about a new engine we’re talking about upgrading significant systems within in that engine. We’re not talking about throwing it all away and saying we’re starting from the ground up”.
Responding to queries Volker also added that it was an impossible task create a new engine from scratch in a time period of two years. But he stressed on the fact that the engine has been enhanced remarkably and if a ‘new’ engine meant the general upgrade of the engine and visuals as a whole, then definitely the upgraded version of the engine is something of the same category.

Its funny how they say that about every new call of duty yet. With each new release more and more people appear to hate the series.
They lie. With the amount of effort they put into there games (1 year) that gives them an entire year to make an engine on hardware that's like a PC this would not be difficult to slightest. They just don't want to admit they suck.

Ryan Oium and what about zombies…did it make a loss in each release from treyarch's games? no..at least that this is one of the most brilliant modes that are created in the cod series…even with or without the maps included in the DLCs
