The scenario for this new game takes place thirty years after the events of Killzone 3. Bloodshed continues while life on the Helghast planet has been left in destruction. The ISA grants the remaining Helghasts to reside on planet Vetka. Separated by a city wall, the Vetkans soon fight for their survival and the Helghast fight for their right to live.

At first glance, they all look like games shown at Microsoft’s big Xbox One reveal, but actually, one of the games is a PS4 exclusive.

The order goes as follows: Forza 5, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Madden, and Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Killzone: Shadow Fall is a PS4 exclusive, developed by a studio entirely owned by Sony Computer Entertainment.

Microsoft was getting so entertained by watching Sony’s E3 trailer and thinking of how good their digital strategy is that they just had to add in Killzone: Shadow Fall.

Give Microsoft a break, they just wanted to be a little like Sony for a day.

The documents have emerged online and and along with a lot of technical jargon, there is a mention of a new IP which is currently in the works at Guerrilla Games. The slides that have been released can be found on the developers official website.

The game was first announced with a debut gameplay during the PlayStation 4′s unveiling event in February . Thanks to Gamingeverything for all the details.

- Wanted to do something a bit different than what they accomplished with the PS3
- Game begins on the Vectan home planet
- Helghast have been allowed to move in next door in their home planet
- The two cultures’ differences result in tension
- Team is looking to expand on Killzone’s existing systems
- Ex: can drop down on enemies and perform death-from-above maneuvers
- Mechanics have been tinkered with
- Can switch modes on your weapons
- Ex: you’re using a close range weapon, and with the press of a button, scope flips up and switches over to a long-range weapon

“The fact that the best pieces of hardware are also devised from, or optimised versions of, the stuff we find in PCs doesn’t make it any less a console,” Van Der Leeuw explained. “A PC is a number of parts that also [have] bridges in-between, where there are inefficiencies that may [come in if they're not] exactly the right match.”

With the PS4, Sony’s making sure issues doesn’t exist  ”We’ve got the right amount of memory, video card; everything’s balanced out,  It was a very conscious effort to make sure that – with the speed of the memory, the amount of compute units, the speed of the hard drive – there would not be any bottlenecks.”

“I think it was for more than a year that we knew the main ingredients and there was just discussion after discussion trying to find a bottleneck,” he said. “Take a look at this design; try to find the bottleneck.”

PlayStation 4 is expected to launch globally later this year.
