Saints Row 4 and Grand Theft Auto 5 both became available in the market close to one another, though Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 title won over sales and set the bar high for open-world titles. Deep Silver is bringing out the game once again as a National Treasure Edition.

This new edition includes all 29 separate DLC from the game. Saints Row 4 National Treasure Edition will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC for $30 on July 8th.

Lots of poking and prodding from her followers yielded nothing; however, a tweet from Chris Stockman, who was design director on Saints Row 1 and is currently lead designer at Human Head, stated that he’s heard “around the campfire” that the game is slated for current-gen consoles in August.

Since GTA 5 is set for a September release, this would put Saints Row 4 on retail shelves a month before its release.

“When I looked at the Enter The Dominatrix expansion in production at Volition, I was blown away by the ideas and desire to expand the fiction of the franchise,” said Jason Rubin, THQ’s President. “I asked the team what it could achieve given more time, more resources, and a broader scope for the project. We all agreed we wanted to play that game. When it comes to Saints Row, it’s clear our fans want bigger, better, and even more over the top, and that’s why Enter The Dominatrix will now be incorporated into a vastly expanded, full-fledged sequel, scheduled for calendar 2013.”

Added Rubin, “We believe the potential for this sequel is far greater as a full-priced, full-length, high quality, connected experience.”

Looks like Saints Row 4 is going to be a sequel to saint row the third. Expect the next game in  2013.
