Game Developers Conference – Sony covers details about the PS4 including the system’s UI, controller, Remote Play, hardware, and more.
The coolest features mentioned about the PS4 are the hard drive capacity, controller specs, camera, PSN friend limit raised, streaming ability, and a PlayStation App for your smartphones. They are going to have “a very large hard drive”, a major plus to gamers everywhere especially since PSN is based off of a huge variety of downloadable content and games.
The PS4 controller includes an option and share button, headset jack, analog touchpad, and even different colored controller lights representing each individual player.
The camera is said to “enhance the PS4 user experience.”’With better pixels the camera will also have its own unique port specifically for the PS4. The camera will be a good use for walkthrough vids, killcam taunting, logging in your account, and even speech recognition. Sony has also confirmed the limit of friends you can have on PS4 has been raised, an attribute that will interest PS3 users. With the streaming ability, users can share almost anything that they are doing on their PS4 to their friends. With the PlayStation App, you can simply login to your account, buy a game, and your PS4 will start downloading it at home.
