PS4 is the “the world’s best PC”
Vice President Mark Rein of Unreal Engine creator of Epic Games has honored the PS4 for the “crazy, ridiculous stuff” developers have been doing with it, as if they were “giving you the world’s best PC.”
During an interview with CVG he says, “I think it’s a very smart move on Sony’s behalf to build this sort of enhanced PC architecture and then put so much in it. Let’s not forget it has 16 times the memory we had in PlayStation 3 – that’s not insignificant. Knowing that every machine has that, we can do crazy, ridiculous stuff with that,”
He also mentioned, “Even Windows for most people is tied to about 2 GB of addressable memory space. This really opens up beyond what most PCs can do, because most PCs are running a 32-bit version of Windows. It’s like giving you the world’s best PC,”

Most computers run 64 bit? 2 gigs of memory? Wtf? I'm on a $400 64bit PC with 24 gigs of ram, and all the other specs ALREADY beat the new PS4. I still prefer it over Xbox.

You are just a crazy gamer with lots of cash to buy unneeded pc hardware 24GB of ram ? There is no game that supports or utilizes any more than that of 8 gb. Console ram's are designed that way that the game utilizes a whole lot of it. And 400$? I have a 900dollars pc yet when i turn on Tressfx in tombraider it gets lag rather than in ps3 with tressfx hair settings it runs on smooth i-e more than 30fps even at HD.

For a start the consoles blatantly don't use TressFX also proving the fucking suck.

if Tressfx lags on your 900 dollar rig then it must be customized really bad? i have 4GB Ram , 8 core cpu (which are also not needed for games) and gtx670. Tomb raider never laged…. this stuff about ps4 being the new God of gaming specifications is stupid. It will own xbox but PC…? never. Only new investment I'm doing in near future will be another gtx670 which is damn good and maybe 8GB of RAM and I'm sure that my rig will own any game in PS4/XBOX 720 era.
When they say 2gb they are not talking about hard drive. It's 2gb memory which is not a bad thing

first of all, basic home Computers are what they are referring too. secondly i hate how all these people are talking like they know hardware, any half witted computer hardware specialist can tell you the ps3s hard and architect is very advanced even for some of the newest top of the line gamming computers. this is a console not a computer so stop comparing it t one, simple fact is when companies like sony amd and nvidia make hardware for a console it tends to be better then the similar hardware made for a pc because it is specially made for the consoles purposes

True Intel's been living on it's name for years now, with there over priced and over rated CPU's. Who really cares about that, There done and they know now that's why they aren't making desktop CPU's any more only mobile CPU's. They won't last to much longer there ether because AMD now the A series CPU's, so AMD has better bang for the buck there too! PS3 I do like don't get me wrong. But no console will ever have more power than a well built PC!!!! PS3 Never even came close to doing so. And I've read about the PS4 nice yes better than the PC NO only to a person who doesn't know how to use one.

the worlds best PC is a server with 24TB hd and 64gb of memory, I know no one has that in their PC at home unless u are me or an IT guru like me…
I'm Building that at home. I have two Server Towers and Never actually got inspired to do anything with them till a few days ago. I'm hoping to test them on a Very fascinating Private server of a game I may find interesting.

Hard disk: 4 TB.
If that PC had Nvidia Titan even PS4 would wanna Play on that PC xD
