GTA V to be faster than GTA IV, “intense missions” from the start

As revealed by Rockstar North president Leslie Benzies, GTA V will be fast paced from the very beginning and will have a high action kick off that will be reflected from the starting missions themselves.

Moreover, as revealed, there will be no unwarranted lunacy from the protagonists in the game.

Comparing GTA V to its predecessors, Benzies observed,”I think it was the right strategy for stories we wanted to tell at the time, but not this time. Today, we want to surprise people with very intense missions from the start. The pace of the game is much faster than any of its predecessors.”

“From the beginning, we want to show off the new game mechanics while creating intense, action-packed gameplay, to capture the player’s attention immediately. Remember that the three characters in the game are already living in the city of Los Santos and surrounding areas. They are not newcomers like Niko and Tommy Vercetti, or people returning after a long absence like CJ,” he added.

“They already have contacts, they are integrated with the world and lead a busy life – these characteristics should give players a sense of immediate and total immersion.”

The three main characters won’t be playable from the onset. Players will be provided with the opportunity to know each of the characters properly whilst undertaking missions. There is also a sense of realism in the game. Although a large amount of lunacy is in store, judging by the looks of the game, Benzies argues that all that will be plausible and the characters won’t do anything that are not required for the missions.

What do you think? Are you, like me, impatiently waiting for the game to release? Do let us know.

  1. Germán Pettinicchio Its a single story, but each of the characters have their own stories, and side missions while the main missions include 2 if not all 3 of them, as they each play a part in the bigger missions. Its one story with 3 main characters, who each have their own style.

  2. In the very first trailer of GTA V, Michael talks about getting retired, looking for a new place and a new life and he says like a question "why did I move here?" in the first line. He is looking a new place and life in the same city? Is just a simple question, I was confused about this "Remember that the three characters in the game are already living in the city of Los Santos and surrounding areas. They are not newcomers like Niko and Tommy Vercetti…"
