Playstation 4 to be Backwards Compatibility with PS1?
The PlayStation event is only 4 days away. Sony will reveal it’s next Gen console the PS4 on February the 20th. Today, Sony tease a new Video called “Evolution of PlayStation: The Beginning” The video explained how PlayStation Era begin and rapidly rise. The tease show how powerful the first playstation was. Not only that, but the video also show the most powerful titles including WipEout, Crash Bandicoot, and Gran Turismo and more. Perhaps the PS4 will be fully be backward compatible with the PS1.

The big deal is that when PS4 comes out it’s probably going to be expensive right? Adding to that the games will be expensive too right? So it’s like all the games you’ve owned won’t go to waste and you will have a good collection to start with and won’t have to spend a lot on games. Hope it makes sense
Most PS3s can’t. If you bought the $600 ones they could play SOME of the PS2 games, but that’s it.

it had better be. I’m lucky enough that I have a fully back compatible PS3 and if I get a PS4 I don’t want to lose that
I really hope it’s backwards compatible. I have more PS2 games than anything. I thought that was the downfall of all the new “great technology” was that they couldn’t go back a generation. The wii could and the discs were different sizes! The PS2 could, but the 360 and the PS3 supposedly the most “advanced” couldn’t. :/ Lame. So hopefully Sony will learn.
the xbox and ps3 can its the newer ps3 that dont play the ps2 games but they play ps1
