Sony’s Jack Tretton opposed to blocking used games
According to market analyst, Michael Pachter who had a meeting with SCEA president at E3. The SCEA president call blocking used game is “anti-consumer.”
Patcher clearly sated
“For the record, I’m totally opposed to blocking used games. I think it’s great for the consumer that they can buy those. We have a customer that buys our console late in the cycle, pays less, is looking for value priced games, and I think it would be anti-consumer for us to do that’,”Pachter told GameTrailers.com
There was a rumors about the PS4 won’t support PS3 games and used game, SCEA president quickly responded and support of used games seems somewhat.
Pachter himself said PS4 will play used game ”I think it will play used games,” he said. “That is the dumbest rumor I’ve ever heard.”

Im totally on bored i oppose this as well becasue sometimes i dont have the money to buy the new copy of a game so i buy the used instead plus i save money
Games should be freakin cheap if they apply this anty used games thing. Like 10 or 20 dollars maxium.
ALL of my friends said they wouldn’t buy the ps3 if it didn’t take used games, 100psn friends saying they’re not going to buy it do the math and scale that upwards to about tens of thousands of people for a 400$ console
I am all for the PS4 supporting both PS3 and used games, especially if nazi bill gates isn’t going to include this feature in future consoles on the dark side. This would be yet another reason why PLAYSTATION is far superior than the opposition. no disrespect to Nintendo they make excellent games, but Sony knows what the gamers want and what is cool, especially if next-gen titles will rise in price.
I still have the first play station (the grey square one) and miss the old games which are not very violent to play.I also have play station 2 upon which I play SPYRO & I am nearly 48 years old.So whats wrong with old???

i officially wont be buying this crappy ass ps4 when it comes out due to the fact that will not play used games or ps3 game because i buy new games but i also buy more used games than new and for that reason i will not be buying its a waste of money buying a new system that is just going to ps4 games and not ps3 games. if u ask me i see sony is not paying attention to what happend when the first ps3 hit the market the system sold less the one million units world wide so i will be one costomer that will not be buying the ps4 if id does not play ps3 and ps4 games because then i would have to make room for a system that only plays ps4 game when right now i currently own both a ps3 and an xbox360 so you can count me out on purchasing the ps4… ps4 aka waste of money period
No one said it won’t play it. It’s XBOX that said it won’t play used games, not Sony.
It would suicide for Sony not to include backwards compatibility. Just add to it PS2 games guys and you got winner.

actually i heard the xbox 720 will be the console that wont play used games. not sony. so ps i will stay.
