Various PlayStation 4 processing specs info

IGN has published a bunch of rumored processing specs for the PlayStation 4 known as Orbis. However, Sony has not yet  confirmed any of that .Earlier this week a rumor stated PlayStation 4 to release beforeXbox 720 Christmas 2013 launch planned

Details of the PlayStation 4′s Processing Specs

  •  May include custom chips based on AMD’s A8-3850 APU and Radeon HD 7670 GPU
  • The A8-3850 features a quad-core 2.9GHz processor with an integrated graphics chip
  • APU works with the system’s dedicated GPU
  •  This is the HD 7670, a DirectX 11-enabled card clocked to 1GHz with up to 1GB of dedicated VRAM
  •  HD 7670 is a rebranded version of last year’s HD 6670 with identical specs
  • HHD 6670 is an entry-level processor with a price of about $74.99
  •  HDMI1.4a output supported by the chip
  • Onboard the A8-3850 is an HD 6550D
  • This allows the APU to run games at baseline specs and lower resolutions without the help of a discrete GPU.

    The PS4 could have higher specs.. This seems kind of low to me.. Why would it only have a quad-core when their are 6 and 8 core processors out right now..

    I think there should be space for upgrades in it, or maybe 2 different models, a cheaper one, somewhat slower, with lower resolution or lower frames per second, for those who don’t want to spend much right away, with the option to upgrade it later, and the other one faster to please those who want performance right out of the box. I insist that backwards compatibility is a must. I hope the rumors aren’t true about game sharing, we should be able to share games at least between 2 systems in the same household.

    The PS4 should go beyond those specs if you gonna do a video card like that might as well go for the top of the with vram pushing 3GB running GDDR 5 with AMD 8 core processor with solid state hard drive. If it runs to hot have a liquid cooling system. Just go all out since it supposed to be the last system.

      Intel is better than AMD kid, and it won’t run hot.

    haveing a ps4 with a 6 or 8 core proccessor is pointless as NOTHING at the moment even touch that and theres like hardly anything that even uses a quad core to its potention never mind a duel core system. and putting lets say a solid state drive, liquid cooling, best gfx card you know how much your gonna be paying for a PS3 at that specification at least 2grand.

    playstation shouldnt be doing this they need to reinvent themselves and the gaming world im talkin bout virtual reality ppl they could also do a few upgrades to the system like the media player being able to play music while you game that is an awsome feature xbox has over playstation they could also use better graphics more realistic gaming and a wider variety of games idk if im the only one who has noticed but they got alot of they same type of games they can do better should have been doing better already like expanding the in game world and not limit themselves
