PlayStation Handing Out Free PSN Credit to Users
PlayStation’s making sure that its user’s attention is glued to its February 20th ‘Future of PlayStation’ event and it has initiated a new promotional scheme which is bound to connect with PlayStation users worldwide.
The company is giving its PlayStation Network users certain amount of free store credit. It’s sending out a message to people’s inbox notifying them that they’re being given free PSN credit to spend.
This isn’t common for Sony to do, it’s highly likely that it’s planning to announce something big tonight, so much so that it even justifies rewarding loyal PlayStation users with free store credit.

No way. I just sold my ps3 for an xbox like last month so I could play with my friends. I’ve had a ps3 since it came out and when my first one broke I got another one straight away then this is announced… Bad luck or what?!? 0.0

I think they only give credits out to certain people like the ones that are on their PS3 all the time. I did not receive any credits, but I am hardly on my PS3 anymore because of work and other things.
