Assassin’s Creed III is coming for Playstation Vita, Unfortunately the name is different from the   PlayStation 3 version. The latest Game Informer has revealed a spinoff for Sony’s handheld, titled “Liberation”.

- Set in New Orleans
- Play as female assassin Aveline
- Aveline is of of mixed heritage, French/Black
- Same time period as Assassin’s Creed III
- Made by Ubisoft Sofia
- Takes place during 1765-1780
- Same period as the French and Indian War
- “True Assassin’s Creed gameplay”
- Not connected to Desmond
- “multiplayer specifically tailored to the vita experience”
- “the game has been released as a propaganda tool by Abstergo, who want players to experience a gray area of the Assassin/Templar conflict as an assassin rather than a templar”
- Aveline’s mentor is an escaped slave named Agate
- Agate is the leader of the assassins in New Orleans
- Wildlife such as alligators “wait on the banks of the swamp or hide beneath murky waters”
- Will have players visiting the Gulf into Mexico
- Takes place in “Large gameplay areas,you can run,climb,fight,and explore the entirety of New Orleans without loading a new area.”
- Aveline and Connor will meet in Liberation
- Use front/rear controls to pick pockets
- Someone else is using the Animus
