Doom fans have been in the dark for awhile with no news on any upcoming titles. The last piece of news we heard of was that Bethesda was working on a Doom 4 title but was scrapped last April. Now it seems that the video game has been in development and will be hitting the beta phase after the release of Wolfenstein: The New Order. This of course will mean that gamers who wish to participate in the beta will need to pick up the latest Wolfenstein title.
Apparently, Bethesda will be releasing the Beta for those who preorder Wolfenstein: The New Order. Beta participants will also need to be at least 18 years of age. Again, as mentioned Bethesda has been working on a new Doom 4 title for awhile and back in April of last year Doom 4 has been scrapped after the development team has announced that the title didn’t have the quality and excitement developers were looking for.
The Key for the beta will be included in the boxed copy of Wolfenstein along with instructions on how to participate in the beta. Wolfenstein: The New Order will be releasing on May 20th of this year for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and the PC. More information on the Doom Beta can be found here.
