Analyst indicate PS4 sales to be Fifty Percent Better than Xbox One
Wednesday,July 24, 2013
The PS4 will go head on against the Xbox One this holiday season, to see who prevails as the best next-gen console.
ConsumerMetrix has been examining the intense battle where they received over 6,000 feedback from individuals all across the U.S. and Europe.
The report has been titled ‘Games Consoles: Purchase Intention Index Q2 2013‘. Surveys show that 9.5% of individuals would very or somewhat likely buy a Xbox One within a year, while 14.2% of consumers would buy the PS4. The studies predict that the PS4 will sell 50% higher than the Xbox One.
Director of Connected Home Devices (CHD) Jia Wu says, “Our survey suggests that consumers believe the PS4 will win the early phase of the next generation console war,
“Sony’s performance at E3 was widely accepted as superior to Microsoft’s, and the survey evidence suggests this has already fed through to the wider consumer market.
Even though the current generation’s Xbox 360 has the edge over the PS3, the PS4 has been doing significantly well in the target group ages 20-35 in both the U.S. and Europe. Almost 30% of consumers would very or somewhat likely buy the PS4, while under 20% of consumers would purchase the Xbox One.
Director of Digital Media Strategies (DMS) Ed Barton reminds us that, “There are still likely to be a few twists and turns before market launch,”
“Microsoft has already demonstrated a willingness to listen to consumer concerns and it will now need to leverage the retention power of Xbox Live and invest in exclusive games if Xbox One is going to recover from its poor showing at E3.”
The evaluation was conducted in June 2013 all who were the ages of 15-74 with 2,062 respondents from the U.S. and 4,118 from Europe.
